Anne Margrethe Lund was a Norwegian musician and thinker.
She introduced the concept of værekraft, a Norwegian term that captures the intrinsic value and strength in people. For Anne Margrethe, værekraft was about shifting our focus from what we do to who we are, regardless of performance. She emphasised that the natural world also has intrinsic value and the interconnectedness between people and nature.
Losing her sight at the age of two and her battle with cancer for most of her adult life were experiences that shaped her perspectives and the importance of trust. Anne Margrethe remained dedicated to sharing her insights, leaving a lasting impact on those she met.
Her work and values will continue to influence the Værekraft Foundation, shaping its vision of a world where people and nature can thrive and its values.
